6/23/25

Good morning, Friends,

John 17:14-15 NLT
[14] I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. [15] I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.

Friends, we are not of this world. Jesus Christ makes it clear. The world hates true followers of Christ. Specifically those who live in opposition to the world system, which values material possessions, power, sex, riches, greed, lustful passions, pride and a host of other forms of self-worship.

Jesus had put his disciples on notice that the world would hate them. In this prayer to the Father, Jesus is again highlighting the fact that the world hates his followers because his followers don't belong to the world, just as Jesus himself didn't belong to the world.  His prayer is not that his his followers would be taken out of the world, but that they would be kept safe from the evil one.

As we've seen throughout the years, the world is in turmoil with mass murders, corruption, warfare, abductions, poverty, diseases and decay. This is a product of a fallen world system. However, we are not called to be rescued from trouble, but kept safe from the "evil one". The temptations and deception that the world has intricately woven in society through social media, news outlets, and more,  have created a vacuum or fear and uncertainty. We must not bow to it, submit to it, be led by it.

I encourage you to rise above the noise and rise above what you've been told by the world system. Commit yourself to the Holy Script, delve into the things of God, immerse yourself into the work of God. You are not of this world, you don't see things the way the world sees them, you don't function the same, your values aren't aligned with the world. Check this out.... the very fabric of your life has been masterfully crafted and made tough in God, through Christ, by God's Holy Spirit.

You are a temporary resident! Live like one!

Maranatha (The Lord is coming)
Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone)

8/21/25 Good morning, Friends,  1 Thessalonians 4:11 -11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet 🤫 life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, Everybody these days wants to shine. Social media has people chasing likes, clout, and attention, trying to be seen instead of just being faithful. But the Word of God cuts through all that noise: “Lead a quiet life. Mind your business. Work with your hands.” That’s not flashy. That won’t go viral. But that’s the grind God respects. See, real strength isn’t in being loud, it’s in being steady. Paul’s saying, stop being thirsty for the spotlight, stop running your mouth in other people’s affairs, and stop leaning on folks when you could be putting in your own work. Truth is, mooching off others while you got the ability to grind is lazy, and laziness is sin. God gave you gifts, skills, and breath in your lungs so use them. Don’t be that person always asking but never giving, always watching b...

9/10/25 Good morning, Friends, Psalm 69:1 LSB [1] Save me, O God, For the waters have threatened my life. Have you ever felt like life was drowning you? Like problems kept piling up 📈, bills, stress, health, relationships, and no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t keep your head above water? That’s exactly how David felt when he wrote ✍🏾 this verse. He wasn’t talking about actual water 🌊, he was describing the feeling of being overwhelmed and sinking fast. Instead of trying to fight 🥊 through it on his own, David cried out to God: “Save me, O God.” That’s the turning point. When we reach the end of ourselves, God is still strong enough to lift us up. Let's keep it 💯 with God. You don’t have to fake it with Him. If you’re struggling, tell Him straight up. He can handle your honest prayers. Depend on Him!! You don’t have to do life alone or in your own strength. God is able to rescue, comfort, and steady you when you feel like you’re going under. If you fee...

8/18/25 Good morning, Friends,  Matthew 3:1-2 -[1]Now in those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying, [2]“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” John the Baptist didn’t show up in a three-piece suit with politically correct words. He came rough, raw, and real, and his message was simple: Repent. Not, “say you’re sorry.” Not, “promise to do better.” Repent. Here’s the difference: asking forgiveness is like telling God, “My bad, I messed up.” Repentance goes deeper—it’s a turning of the heart, mind, and direction. It’s when the Spirit of God flips the script in your soul, and you walk a whole new way. Forgiveness is like the judge stamping your record “cleared.” Repentance is like walking out of court and actually living different! It's proof that God’s the one changing you on the inside. Think of it like this: If I keep apologizing for stealing, but I’m still sliding wallets out of pockets tomorrow, nothing’s really changed. Repentan...
