Good morning🌞, Friends,
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 - 20 So then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as God is pleading through us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Think of a courtroom. A guilty man stands before the judge with no excuses, no defense, only the expectation of a just sentence. Then something crazy happens: the judge steps down, removes his robe, and says, “I will take your punishment. You’re free to go.” This is wild!!! 🤯The man did nothing to deserve it. That’s flat-out grace 💯
This is what God has done for sinners like us. In his sovereignty, God chose us. We didn’t meet God halfway. We didn’t clean ourselves up or choose Him first. He acted entirely by His grace. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, took our guilt, our shame, our penalty, and the best part was that it was not by mistake! It was by divine design. God made Him to be sin for us. Not that Jesus sinned, but that He was treated as if He had, watch this, so that we could be treated as if we hadn’t.
This is the heart of the gospel...the assigned righteousness of Christ. Our sin credited to Him; His righteousness credited to us. It’s not a cooperation between us and God, it’s a sovereign act of mercy.
It doesn’t end there tho! God doesn’t just save us, He sends us. We are His ambassadors, speaking on His behalf, urging others to be reconciled to God. Not through good works, not by doing better, but through faith in Christ alone. The message we carry isn’t about being better people, it’s about being new creations through Christ’s finished work.
Be real right now, are you living like someone who’s been made right with God? Not like someone trying to earn His love, but grateful because you’ve already received it?
And when it comes to other people, are you just casually mentioning Jesus, or are you truly urging them to turn to God "knowing" how serious and urgent this really is?
Just a whole lotta something to think about! 💬
No pressure from me tho, just sharing some “pressure applied through the Holy Script” by the Apostle Paul!
“Toodle-oo 😊 Cheerio Mate" 😎
