Good morning, Friends, 

John 10:10-11 - [10] The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. [11] I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

Jesus doesn’t just tell us who the enemy is, He tells us who He is. The thief’s mission is destruction, but Christ’s mission is life. The devil promises freedom but delivers bondage. The world promises happiness but leaves you empty. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, offers something better, abundant life, not through possessions or status, but through His presence, His protection, and His sacrifice. Notice what makes Him the “Good” Shepherd: He lays down His life for His sheep. That’s not just good leadership, it’s substitution. He takes the place of sinners who deserve death so that we can receive life. That’s the heart ❤️  of the Gospel, Christ gives what we could never earn, and He secures what we could never keep on our own.

This isn’t just a message about hope,  it’s a sovereign promise. The Shepherd doesn’t lose a single sheep the Father gives Him (John 6:37–39). His death doesn’t make salvation possible, it purchases it. His cross is not an invitation to try harder; it’s a declaration that the work is finished.

Think about it like this: imagine a firefighter running into a burning building to rescue people trapped inside. He doesn’t shout from outside, “Come out if you can!”, he goes in, carries them out, and takes the heat himself. That’s what Christ did for us. The Good Shepherd didn’t just call from a distance; He entered the fire, bore our sin, and brought us out alive.

So, let's take self-inventory: are you living like one of His sheep, trusting His voice, following His lead, resting in His care? Or are you chasing the thief’s lies that promise life but steal your soul? 

Friends, true abundance is found only under the Shepherd’s care, where His grace protects, His presence satisfies, and His sacrifice secures you forever.

8/21/25 Good morning, Friends,  1 Thessalonians 4:11 -11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet 🤫 life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, Everybody these days wants to shine. Social media has people chasing likes, clout, and attention, trying to be seen instead of just being faithful. But the Word of God cuts through all that noise: “Lead a quiet life. Mind your business. 9/10/25 Good morning, Friends, Psalm 69:1 LSB [1] Save me, O God, For the waters have threatened my life. Have you ever felt like life was drowning you? Like problems kept piling up 📈, bills, stress, health, relationships, and no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t keep your head above water?
