Devotional Reading - April 1, 2026

 4/1/26

Good morning, Friends,

Proverbs 10:19 - When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise

This verse cuts straight to something we all deal with, our mouths. The more we talk, the more chances we give ourselves to say the wrong thing. Whether it’s speaking too quickly, saying more than needed, gossiping, venting in anger, or trying to prove a point, careless words many times lead to sin. This proverb isn’t saying talking is bad, it’s saying uncontrolled talking is dangerous. Wisdom shows up not just in what we say, but in what we choose not to say.

From a deeper perspective, our words reveal what’s going on inside of us. When our hearts are restless, prideful, or frustrated, it usually comes out through our speech. But when God is shaping our hearts, one of the first signs is a growing ability to pause, think, and hold back. Restraining your lips isn’t weakness, it’s strength under control. It’s choosing peace over winning an argument, understanding over being heard, and patience over reaction.

This is challenging because we live in a world that rewards "yapping" 🗣️ , say what you feel, speak your mind, get the last word. But Scripture calls us to something higher: speak with purpose, or don’t speak at all. Not every thought needs a voice. Not every moment needs commentary.

At the same time, this is encouraging. Growth in this area is possible. As God matures you, He gives you the ability to slow down, to listen more, and to speak with wisdom. Fewer words, guided by grace, can carry more power than a flood of careless speech.

Friends, ask yourself..." Am I speaking to build upor just to be heard?", "Do my words reflect wisdom, or impulse?"

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say… is nothing at all.

You know what time ⏰ it is!!!

Devotional Reading - December 16, 2025

12/16/25 Good morning, Friends,  Acts 4:12 - [12] And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. BOLDNESS! In the chapter before this, Peter heals a man who had been disabled his whole life. The crowd is amazed. Everyone’s staring at Peter and John like they’re the heroes. But Peter shuts all that down immediately. He tells them straight up: “This wasn’t us. This was God working through Jesus Christ.” Peter refuses the spotlight and points all the credit where it belongs. That’s the same bold truth behind this verse, Jesus Christ alone saves. No exceptions. No substitutes. No backup plans. Peter is standing in front of religious leaders who believed they were right with God because of rules, traditions, and family history. And Peter doesn’t sugarcoat it. He tells them clearly: none of that saves you. Not religion. Not good behavior. Not being sincere. Not choosing another spiritual lane. Only J...

8/21/25 Good morning, Friends,  1 Thessalonians 4:11 -11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet 🤫 life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, Everybody these days wants to shine. Social media has people chasing likes, clout, and attention, trying to be seen instead of just being faithful. But the Word of God cuts through all that noise: “Lead a quiet life. Mind your business. Work with your hands.” That’s not flashy. That won’t go viral. But that’s the grind God respects. See, real strength isn’t in being loud, it’s in being steady. Paul’s saying, stop being thirsty for the spotlight, stop running your mouth in other people’s affairs, and stop leaning on folks when you could be putting in your own work. Truth is, mooching off others while you got the ability to grind is lazy, and laziness is sin. God gave you gifts, skills, and breath in your lungs so use them. Don’t be that person always asking but never giving, always watching b...

9/10/25 Good morning, Friends, Psalm 69:1 LSB [1] Save me, O God, For the waters have threatened my life. Have you ever felt like life was drowning you? Like problems kept piling up 📈, bills, stress, health, relationships, and no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t keep your head above water? That’s exactly how David felt when he wrote ✍🏾 this verse. He wasn’t talking about actual water 🌊, he was describing the feeling of being overwhelmed and sinking fast. Instead of trying to fight 🥊 through it on his own, David cried out to God: “Save me, O God.” That’s the turning point. When we reach the end of ourselves, God is still strong enough to lift us up. Let's keep it 💯 with God. You don’t have to fake it with Him. If you’re struggling, tell Him straight up. He can handle your honest prayers. Depend on Him!! You don’t have to do life alone or in your own strength. God is able to rescue, comfort, and steady you when you feel like you’re going under. If you fee...
