Devotional Reading - April 6, 2026

Good morning, Beloved, 

Acts 1:1-3 - The first account, O Theophilus, I composed, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over forty days and speaking about the things concerning the kingdom of God.

I know you probably heard preaching about the resurrection yesterday, but it's not a once a year reality, it's an everyday reality, so I'm going to spread more icing on the cake 🎂 today! 😎

In these opening verses, Luke reminds us of something foundational: the Christian faith is not built on feelings, opinions, or stories passed down like myths, nope, it is built on real events. Jesus lived, taught, suffered, died, and after His resurrection, He showed Himself alive with many convincing proofs. This means our faith is rooted in truth, not imagination. It’s anchored in what actually happened, not just what we feel in the moment.

That’s important, because our feelings change all the time. Some days you feel strong in your faith, other days you feel distant, tired, or uncertain. But the truth of Christ does not rise and fall with our emotions. Jesus is STILL alive whether we feel it or not. The resurrection is still real whether your circumstances are good or bad. Our confidence is not in how we feel, it’s in who God is and what He has already done.

Check it out, this challenges us to stop leaning on emotions as the foundation of our faith. Feelings can support your faith, BUT THEY CANNOT SUSTAIN IT. When life gets hard, feelings will fade, but truth stands still. The same Jesus who revealed Himself to His disciples is the same risen Lord we trust today.

Remember, Friends, your faith is not weak and delicate, because it’s not built on you, it’s built on facts. And facts don’t change.

So when your feelings are shaky, stand on what is certain, what is absolute, what is truth:

Jesus is alive...AND THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

    Amen! Emotions and feelings are tricky they can change with the wind. But we stand on the firm foundation of the living word to guide us in good and turbulent times

Daily Devotional - October 29, 2025

  10/29/25 Good morning, Friends,  Luke 22:33–34 (LSB) — “But he said to Him, ‘Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!’ But He said, ‘I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.’” Peter really meant well. His heart was full of passion and loyalty when he told Jesus he’d follow Him anywhere,  even to prison or death. But when the pressure hit, fear took over, and Peter did exactly what he swore he wouldn’t: he denied Jesus three times . This moment reminds us that good intentions aren’t the same as strong faith. Sometimes we’re like Peter, real quick to say, “Lord, I’ll never turn my back on You,” but then life gets real. The heat rises, the crowd’s watching, and suddenly we shrink back. Jesus wasn’t trying to embarrass Peter; He was exposing Peter’s weakness so He could strengthen 💪 him later. God still does that with us today.   01/01/26 Happy new year and O' happy day! Good morning, Friends,  Luke 17:5 - And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith! In this passage Jesus was teaching His disciples about forgiveness, not the easy kind, but the kind that keeps forgiving even when it’s hard, frustrating, and painful. He was calling them to be patient and long-suffering with people who mess up again and again. The disciples realized real quick that they didn't have enough faith to carry this out on their own. They could've complained, threw a tantrum, got an attitude with Jesus, but the radical part about it is they didn't act fake or make excuses. They went straight to Jesus and said, “Increase our faith.” That’s a powerful moment right there! The disciples understood that following Jesus isn’t just about trying harder.
