6/25/25

Good morning, Friends,

1 Thessalonians 5:25 NLT

[25] Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.

In the final greeting in this letter to the Christians at Thessalonica, Paul request prayer, as him and his team continue on their journey. It probably doesn't seem like a big deal because many times people ask us to pray for them. These requests come from folks from various walks of life, cultures,  neighborhoods, situations, circumstances, experiences,  upbringings, backgrounds, religions, regions, ideologies, and personalities.

The bottom line is that they feel comfortable enough to ask for prayer. A person who may not know you, or the status of your relationship with the true God, seeks your help with getting a message to the Most High. (Pause) Wrestle with that thought for a moment. Hear the prayer request. Listen closely.

Active listening is a skill developed through practice and intention. The intention is not to respond but to purposefully extrapolate the true meaning of another person's words by processing it through compassion and understanding.

Prayer is an act of intimacy. It denotes a relationship to the one in which you are praying to. When someone requests prayer, they are assuming you have a relationship with God. If time permits, pray for them right then and there. If not, make sure to do so when time permits.

Friends, you have been tasked with a wonderful opportunity, don't fumble the ball.  Someone is counting on you to deliver a message of importance.

Remember, the prayers of a righteous person has significant power and effectiveness.

PEACE ✌🏾 OUT!!!

Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone)

  1. This is God! How many people actually pray for the person who is asking for prayer or even when people say "I'll pray for you". Prayer is key for self and one another, a way to communicate with the one who is able to do all things. We must do our part for our brothers and sister in Christ, and those who are lost but believe that we as believers have an open line to the father.

8/21/25 Good morning, Friends,  1 Thessalonians 4:11 -11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet 🀫 life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, Everybody these days wants to shine. Social media has people chasing likes, clout, and attention, trying to be seen instead of just being faithful. But the Word of God cuts through all that noise: “Lead a quiet life. Mind your business. Work with your hands.” That’s not flashy. That won’t go viral. But that’s the grind God respects. See, real strength isn’t in being loud, it’s in being steady. Paul’s saying, stop being thirsty for the spotlight, stop running your mouth in other people’s affairs, and stop leaning on folks when you could be putting in your own work. Truth is, mooching off others while you got the ability to grind is lazy, and laziness is sin. God gave you gifts, skills, and breath in your lungs so use them. Don’t be that person always asking but never giving, always watching b...

9/10/25 Good morning, Friends, Psalm 69:1 LSB [1] Save me, O God, For the waters have threatened my life. Have you ever felt like life was drowning you? Like problems kept piling up πŸ“ˆ, bills, stress, health, relationships, and no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t keep your head above water? That’s exactly how David felt when he wrote ✍🏾 this verse. He wasn’t talking about actual water 🌊, he was describing the feeling of being overwhelmed and sinking fast. Instead of trying to fight πŸ₯Š through it on his own, David cried out to God: “Save me, O God.” That’s the turning point. When we reach the end of ourselves, God is still strong enough to lift us up. Let's keep it πŸ’― with God. You don’t have to fake it with Him. If you’re struggling, tell Him straight up. He can handle your honest prayers. Depend on Him!! You don’t have to do life alone or in your own strength. God is able to rescue, comfort, and steady you when you feel like you’re going under. If you fee...

8/18/25 Good morning, Friends,  Matthew 3:1-2 -[1]Now in those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying, [2]“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” John the Baptist didn’t show up in a three-piece suit with politically correct words. He came rough, raw, and real, and his message was simple: Repent. Not, “say you’re sorry.” Not, “promise to do better.” Repent. Here’s the difference: asking forgiveness is like telling God, “My bad, I messed up.” Repentance goes deeper—it’s a turning of the heart, mind, and direction. It’s when the Spirit of God flips the script in your soul, and you walk a whole new way. Forgiveness is like the judge stamping your record “cleared.” Repentance is like walking out of court and actually living different! It's proof that God’s the one changing you on the inside. Think of it like this: If I keep apologizing for stealing, but I’m still sliding wallets out of pockets tomorrow, nothing’s really changed. Repentan...
