Daily Devotional- June 19, 2025


6/19/25 

Good morning, Beloved, 

1 John 1:8-9 NLT [8] If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. [9] But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 

One of the most humbling acts is the confession of sin and the acknowledgement of breaking God's law. Sin is not "making a mistake. Making a mistake is more like submitting the wrong paper for your class assignment or purchasing a shoe in the wrong size. These do not equate to sin. Sin is a violation of God's law, an offense so vile and disturbing to God, certain sins were biblically punishable by death. In fact, in Romans 6:23, the Bible records that the very price of sin is "death". Trying to be a good person won't change that!  

In the modern era, sin is often taken lightly. Many people don't understand or appreciate its seriousness. Just think for a moment.... Sin was so egregious to God that he flooded the entire Earth. Sin was so horrifying to God, God sent his son, the Lord Jesus Christ as the ultimate payment for it. Jesus incurred the wrath of the Father to redeem His people. He was wounded, pierced, beaten, mocked, cursed out, berated, the crowd cheered as his executioners took pleasure in the heinous brutality of it all....now, his body mangled and was slowly brought to death. THAT'S HOW SERIOUS SIN IS TO GOD!

Get the picture?! So, in view of 1 John 1:8-9, confession of sin is essential, repentance (turning away) from sin is crucial, and the cleansing forgiveness that occurs is ultimate and final. A true Christian, doesn't use grace as a license to sin. A true Christian has the highest adoration for God, living and moving in harmony with his commandments. When transgressions are made, the Christian is sincerely affected and duly committed to running "TO"God with a remorseful heart and "NOT" away from God in rebellion, guilt, and shame. 

Praise God for his mercy and grace!!! Blessed be his name!!!

Daily Devotional - October 29, 2025

  10/29/25 Good morning, Friends,  Luke 22:33–34 (LSB) — “But he said to Him, ‘Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!’ But He said, ‘I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.’” Peter really meant well. His heart was full of passion and loyalty when he told Jesus he’d follow Him anywhere,  even to prison or death. But when the pressure hit, fear took over, and Peter did exactly what he swore he wouldn’t: he denied Jesus three times . This moment reminds us that good intentions aren’t the same as strong faith. Sometimes we’re like Peter, real quick to say, “Lord, I’ll never turn my back on You,” but then life gets real. The heat rises, the crowd’s watching, and suddenly we shrink back. Jesus wasn’t trying to embarrass Peter; He was exposing Peter’s weakness so He could strengthen 💪 him later. God still does that with us today.   01/01/26 Happy new year and O' happy day! Good morning, Friends,  Luke 17:5 - And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith! In this passage Jesus was teaching His disciples about forgiveness, not the easy kind, but the kind that keeps forgiving even when it’s hard, frustrating, and painful. He was calling them to be patient and long-suffering with people who mess up again and again. The disciples realized real quick that they didn't have enough faith to carry this out on their own. They could've complained, threw a tantrum, got an attitude with Jesus, but the radical part about it is they didn't act fake or make excuses.
