Good morning, Friends,
Proverbs 20:6 LSB
[6] Many a man will call out his own lovingkindness, But a faithful man, who can find?
Have you ever noticed how easy it is for people to talk a big game? A lot of folks will claim they’re loyal, trustworthy, and always there when you need them. But when life gets real and the pressure is on, those same people can be hard to find. Words are cheap, but following through takes "character".
This verse reminds us that true, reliable friends are rare. Not everyone who says they’ve got your back actually shows up when it counts. And if we’re keeping it a buck , we’ve probably had moments when we’ve fell short of loyalty or made ourselves look better than we were. Proverbs is often called a book of wisdom because it's full of truths like this. It helps us look in the mirror and check our own hearts, not just point fingers at others.
So today, instead of just talking about being reliable, let’s aim to be reliable. Let’s be the kind of friend, spouse, sibling, or co-worker who shows up when it matters, keeps their word, and doesn’t need to exaggerate their story. Because in a world full of talkers, being someone who actually lives out what they say speaks louder than words ever could. Let's follow through—not just in words, but in actions.
Lord teach us to be a faithful, trustworthy friend who reflects Your truth and love 🙌🏾

DeleteI love it! Can you show up for me when I actually need you and not just when it's just convenient for you. (Rhetorical question) The WORD is so good it literally touches on every part of life.
