Good morning, Friends,
Romans 14:7–9 (LSB) — “For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; for if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived, that He might rule over both the dead and the living.”
This passage hits deep. Paul is reminding us that life isn’t about us. Every breath we take, every step we make, belongs to the Lord. Whether we’re living or dying, succeeding or struggling, the purpose remains the same: to bring glory to Jesus. That means our time, our choices, our energy, and even our pain aren’t random, they’re all part of God’s plan to display His grace through us.
That’s a hard truth in a world that constantly tells us to “live for yourself.” But as believers, **NEWS FLASH** π️ we don’t belong to ourselves, we belong to Christ. He bought us with His blood, and now our lives are His testimony. That changes how we see everything, how we handle success, how we face suffering, and even how we approach death.
Think about it like this: when you realize your life is not your own, the pressure to “figure everything out” lifts. You stop trying to control everything and start trusting the One who already has it all under control. You’re free to live with purpose, knowing that every moment, whether big or small, matters to God.
Friends, live today like your life is a reflection of Jesus, not your own agenda. No matter what you face, in life or in death, you are secure, because you belong fully to Him.
The truth is that you were made for more than survival or success, you were made to show the world who Jesus is.
