Devotional Reading - December 22, 2025

12/22/25 Good morning, Friends,  Psalm 96:6 - Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Think about a moment when you’ve been truly amazed, standing at the edge of the ocean, looking up at a sky full of stars, or seeing the top of a huge mountain  for the first time. For a brief moment, everything else fades away. You feel small, quiet, and aware that you’re standing in front of something far bigger than you. That feeling of awe doesn’t scare you, it humbles you and steadies you. Psalm 96:6 is meant to create that same kind of awe toward God. Like understand that God is far greater and more amazing than we even realize. When the verse says, “Splendor and majesty are before Him,” it means God is always surrounded by greatness and glory. He doesn’t need to prove Himself or impress anybody, He is already beyond comparison. This reminds us that God isn’t just someone we turn to when we’re in trouble; He is the King over everything and deserves...

Devotional Reading - December 19, 2025

12/19/25 Good Morning, Friends,  2 Corinthians 9:6-8 -[6] Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. [7] You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” [8] And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. Paul is talking to the Corinthian church about a collection being taken to help poor believers in Jerusalem. This is important because Paul is not giving a command tied to salvation. He isn’t saying, “Give so God will accept you.” Giving is not a way to earn God’s favor, it is the result of already having God's favor.  God isn't interested in forced giving. He isn’t interested in gifts that come from guilt, pressure, fear, or obligation. God looks beyond the amount that’s given and focuses on the...

12/17/25 Good morning, Friends,  1 Thessalonians 3:7-8 -7 So we have been greatly encouraged in the midst of our troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith. 8 It gives us new life to know that you are standing firm in the Lord. Paul is going through a rough season. He’s under pressure, surrounded by trouble, and carrying real pain. Yet instead of being crushed by it, he says he’s encouraged. Why? Because he hears that the believers in Thessalonica are still holding on to Jesus. They didn’t quit when things got hard. They didn’t walk away when it cost them something. They stayed faithful. When Paul says their faith gives him “new life,” he’s not saying his survival depends on them. He’s saying their faith lifts his spirit in the middle of his struggle. Watching them keep trusting Jesus reminds him that God is still at work, even when circumstances say otherwise. People don’t hold onto faith by accident. God is the One who...

Devotional Reading - December 16, 2025

12/16/25 Good morning, Friends,  Acts 4:12 - [12] And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. BOLDNESS! In the chapter before this, Peter heals a man who had been disabled his whole life. The crowd is amazed. Everyone’s staring at Peter and John like they’re the heroes. But Peter shuts all that down immediately. He tells them straight up: “This wasn’t us. This was God working through Jesus Christ.” Peter refuses the spotlight and points all the credit where it belongs. That’s the same bold truth behind this verse, Jesus Christ alone saves. No exceptions. No substitutes. No backup plans. Peter is standing in front of religious leaders who believed they were right with God because of rules, traditions, and family history. And Peter doesn’t sugarcoat it. He tells them clearly: none of that saves you. Not religion. Not good behavior. Not being sincere. Not choosing another spiritual lane. Only J...

Daily Devotional - December 5, 2025

12/5/25 Good morning, Friends,  Hebrews 11:13-16 -13 [13] All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. [14] Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own. [15] If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back. [16] But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. These verses talk about people in the Bible who trusted God but never got to see all His promises come true while they were alive. Abraham didn’t see the whole nation God promised. Moses never stepped foot in the Promised Land. They believed, even when they didn’t get the results they hoped for. That’s real faith, trusting God not because life works out, but be...

12/4/25 Good morning, Friends,  Matthew 11:28–30  -  Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’” Jesus isn’t just talking to tired people who need a nap, He’s talking to people worn out on the  inside . People  tired  of trying to fix themselves, tired of trying to be good enough, tired of carrying guilt, stress, and expectations. The religious leaders in Jesus’ day put a lot of rules and pressure on people, telling them to do better and try harder. But see, Jesus doesn’t add more weight, He invites us to drop the weight. And here’s the hardcore truth: we don’t find this rest by chasing Jesus; we only come because  Jesus draws us first . He doesn’t say, “Go fix yourself and then come.” He says, “Come...

12/3/25 Good morning, Friends,  John 14:27 -  Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. Life can feel like chaos, especially during this time of the year. The unexpected happens, relationships can get strained, uncertainty at work, bad news that just hits out of nowhere. Sometimes we hunt for peace the way people search for loose change under the couch cushions, scrambling, hoping, stretching for anything that might calm us for a moment. But Jesus speaks about this type of restless reality, giving us a different kind of promise. He tells His disciples, right before His arrest, humiliation, and crucifixion, that He is giving them His peace , a peace the world can’t offer and can’t take away. Check it out, this peace is not rooted in positive thinking, emotional manipulation, or self-made stability. It flows from the character of God Himself. Christ can give us true peace be...
