Daily Devotional - December 4, 2025

Good morning, Friends, 

Matthew 11:28–30  - Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’”

Jesus isn’t just talking to tired people who need a nap, He’s talking to people worn out on the inside. People tired of trying to fix themselves, tired of trying to be good enough, tired of carrying guilt, stress, and expectations. The religious leaders in Jesus’ day put a lot of rules and pressure on people, telling them to do better and try harder. But see, Jesus doesn’t add more weight, He invites us to drop the weight. And here’s the hardcore truth: we don’t find this rest by chasing Jesus; we only come because Jesus draws us first. He doesn’t say, “Go fix yourself and then come.” He says, “Come, and I’ll be your rest.”

When Jesus says, “Take my yoke,” He’s talking about letting Him lead your life, letting His teaching shape you, letting His strength carry you. A yoke usually means "work", but Jesus flips it. He does the heavy lifting, and we walk beside Him. He obeyed perfectly when we couldn’t. He carried our sin when we wouldn’t survive it. He gives the Holy Spirit to help us live what we can’t live on our own. His burden is light because He does the work that saves us and the work that changes us.

Check it out, today, stop trying to earn God’s love or prove your worth. Stop pretending you can carry what only Jesus can carry.

Friends, real rest isn’t found in running or being comfortable, it’s found in Christ Himself. He doesn’t crush the weak; He comforts them. You don’t need to show Him how strong you are. Just come. He already knows how much you’re carrying, and He’s strong enough to hold it for you.

Daily Devotional - October 29, 2025

  10/29/25 Good morning, Friends,  Luke 22:33–34 (LSB) — “But he said to Him, ‘Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!’ But He said, ‘I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.’” Peter really meant well. His heart was full of passion and loyalty when he told Jesus he’d follow Him anywhere,  even to prison or death. But when the pressure hit, fear took over, and Peter did exactly what he swore he wouldn’t: he denied Jesus three times . This moment reminds us that good intentions aren’t the same as strong faith. Sometimes we’re like Peter, real quick to say, “Lord, I’ll never turn my back on You,” but then life gets real. The heat rises, the crowd’s watching, and suddenly we shrink back. Jesus wasn’t trying to embarrass Peter; He was exposing Peter’s weakness so He could strengthen 💪 him later. God still does that with us today.   01/01/26 Happy new year and O' happy day! Good morning, Friends,  Luke 17:5 - And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith! In this passage Jesus was teaching His disciples about forgiveness, not the easy kind, but the kind that keeps forgiving even when it’s hard, frustrating, and painful. He was calling them to be patient and long-suffering with people who mess up again and again. The disciples realized real quick that they didn't have enough faith to carry this out on their own. They could've complained, threw a tantrum, got an attitude with Jesus, but the radical part about it is they didn't act fake or make excuses.
