Good morning, Beloved,
Job 38:1-5 - [1] Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind: [2] “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? [3] Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. [4] “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. [5] Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line?
After losing his children, his health, his wealth, and everything familiar, Book of Job reaches a turning point. Job has been questioning, grieving, and trying to understand why so much pain hit his life all at once. Then suddenly, God answers him, not with a soft baby whisper, but from a whirlwind. In other words, God shows up with power and authority.
God basically checks Job, 🗣️ “Who do you think you’re talking to? Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?” It sounds strong, but it’s not meant to crush Job, it’s meant to remind him who is really in control.
Sometimes life hits like a storm ⛈️ you didn’t see coming. One phone call 📞 can change everything. One bad week can feel like your whole world is falling apart. And when that happens, it’s natural to ask, “God, what's really going on?” But if we look a lil deeper in this passage, we'll see something we tend to forget:
- God is never confused, even when we are.
- God is never late, even when it feels that way.
- God has never lost control.
When God claps back at Job with some hard questions it reveals something deep...that we are not God. We don’t see the full picture. We don’t know what He knows. Our understanding is limited, but His wisdom has no limits.
If we putting it all on the table, truth is, our pride makes us think we deserve explanations. But you see "faith" learns to trust even when explanations don’t come.
I aint gone hold you 💯 : You may not understand why certain doors closed…why some relationships fell apart…why the struggle seems longer than expected…
But the same God who set the boundaries of the ocean and hung the stars in place while it hangs on nothing, is fully capable of holding your life together.
This isn't just about God’s power, if we break it down further, we can see it's about His presence. God didn’t ignore Job. He came to him. When your life feels chaotic and in shambles, God is not far away. He steps into the storm.
The storm might be big, but we know that God is far bigger, now we just have to have faith and act on it!
Imma leave you with this, "peace doesn’t come from having all the answer, it comes from trusting the One who does"
If God can build the universe from nothing, you already know He can rebuild what's broken in your life.
