  4/8/26 Good morning, Friends,  Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 (NLT) - [4]When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him. [5] It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it.  Friends, don't forget that God takes our words seriously . It’s better not to make a promise at all than to say something to God and not follow through. Keeping it 💯,  many of us have been there, we’ve told God in emotional moments, “If You fix this, I’ll change… I’ll do better… I’ll give more… I’ll serve more.” But once the situation improves, our urgency fades away quick, and those promises get pushed to the side. These verses calls us to slow down and examine our hearts. God isn’t impressed by big, passionate words spoken in the heat of the moment. He values truth, consistency, and integrity .   4/6/26 Good morning, Beloved,  Acts 1:1-3 - The first account, O Theophilus, I composed, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over forty days and speaking about the things concerning the kingdom of God. I know you probably heard preaching about the resurrection yesterday, but it's not a once a year reality, it's an everyday reality, so I'm going to spread more icing on the cake 🎂 today! 😎 In these opening verses, Luke reminds us of something foundational: the Christian faith is not built on feelings, opinions, or stories passed down like myths, nope, it is built on real events.  4/1/26 Good morning, Friends,  Proverbs 10:19 -  When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise This verse cuts straight to something we all deal with,  our mouths . The more we talk, the more chances we give ourselves to say the wrong thing. Whether it’s speaking too quickly, saying more than needed, gossiping, venting in anger, or trying to prove a point, careless words many times lead to sin. This proverb isn’t saying talking is bad, it’s saying uncontrolled talking is dangerous . Wisdom shows up not just in what we say, but in what we choose not to say. From a deeper perspective, our words reveal what’s going on inside of us. When our hearts are restless, prideful, or frustrated, it usually comes out through our speech.  3/18/26 Good morning, Friends,  Matthew 6:30-34 -[30] But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! [31] Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ [32] For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33] But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. [34] “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Jesus is talking to people who are worried about real life needs, like food, clothes, tomorrow, survival.   3/16/26 Good morning, Friends,  Matthew 6:24 - No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. Jesus speaks with simple clarity here. He does not say it is difficult to serve two masters, nope, He says it is impossible . Our hearts were created to be fully devoted to one Lord. When we try to divide our loyalty between God and something else like, money, success, comfort, reputation, or control, something will eventually take the top spot. Truth be told, many of us try to balance both. We want to follow God, but we also want security, recognition, and the things the world promises will make life easier. The danger is subtle. Wealth itself is not the problem, but our heart’s attachment to wealth is the problem.   2/20/26 Good morning, Friends,  2 Kings 6:16-17 NLT [16] “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” [17] Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. Elisha’s servant was shook, he was panicking because the enemy army had surrounded them. To him, it looked like game over. But Elisha told him, “Don’t trip, don’t be afraid. [2] Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. When Moses prayed these words, he was reminding the people that God isn't some new phenomenon. Before the city was built, the nation was formed, the neighborhood became what it is now, even before your grandma’s grandma even thought about being here, God already was. [3] Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. [4] “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. [5] Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? After losing his children, his health, his wealth, and everything familiar, Book of Job reaches a turning point. Job has been questioning, grieving, and trying to understand why so much pain hit his life all at once. Then suddenly, God answers him, not with a soft baby whisper, but from a whirlwind.   2/12/26 Good morning, Friends,  John 16:31 - 31 Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? Right before this verse, the disciples just told Jesus, “Now we believe.” They’re feeling confident. They’re talking strong. So, Jesus claps back, “Do you now believe?” That’s not him hyping up their faith, he's giving them a reality check. Why? Because in just a few hours, when soldiers show up and the pressure hits, every one of them is going to run. They think they’re solid. Jesus knows they’re about to fold. How many times have we said, “God, I’m all in,” when life is smooth, but the moment trouble shows up, fear takes over? We talk bold in safe spaces. We post faith quotes. We sing loud at church. But when obedience costs reputation, comfort, money, or relationships, uh-oh, that’s when all that talk gets tested. Jesus isn’t shocked by that.   2/11/26 Good morning, Friends,  1 Peter 5:8–9 [8] Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. [9] Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. Peter is not speaking to comfortable people. He’s writing to believers who are pressured, misunderstood, and suffering for their faith. And he doesn’t sugarcoat it at all. He straight up says: you have an enemy. The devil is not a myth, not a figure of speech or symbol for bad vibes, or  “negative energy.” He is an adversary, an opponent; he's intentional and strategic. Satan is actively against you.   2/10/26 Good morning, Friends,  2 Corinthians 5:11 - Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too. Paul is saying, “I know who God really is, and I know I’m going to stand before Him one day, so I can’t play around with life.” The fear of the Lord isn’t being scared God is out to get you. It’s knowing God is real, holy, and not to be taken lightly. When you know that, it changes how you move, how you talk, and what you stand on. Paul isn’t living reckless or fake, he’s living aware. This hits home because most of us know what it’s like to live on alert. You watch your back, you read the room, you know the consequences of not being aware of your surroundings. Paul is saying, “Life with God is like that, but on a much deeper level.” God sees everything. Nothing is hidden. No mask, no image, no pretending. 2/9/26 Good morning, Friends, Psalms 94:19 - When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul. There is an honesty in this verse that many of us try to avoid. The psalmist does not pretend that faith eliminates anxiety. He admits it multiplies. Not occasionally. Not a lil bit. Anxiety grows, stacks, and presses in from every side. This is the reality of living in a broken world while carrying real responsibilities, real disappointments, and real uncertainty. But notice the tension: anxiety multiplies, but so does God’s comfort. Sometimes people get it twisted thinking that spiritual maturity means that we are emotionally calm at all times. False! That couldn't be further from the truth. Mature faith is not the absence of inner chaos; it is the decision of where you turn when chaos flares up.  What I love about this passage is that the psalmist does not numb his anxiety, deny it, or allow it to rule him.  2/6/26 Good morning, Beloved,  John 13:4-8 - [4] So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, [5] and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. [6] When Jesus came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” [7] Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” [8] “No,” Peter protested, “you will never ever wash my feet!” Jesus replied, “Unless I wash you, you won’t belong to me.” Jesus kneels.   2/2/26 Good afternoon, Friends,  Matthew 26:14-16 [14] Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests [15] and said, “What are you willing to give me to deliver Him to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him. [16] And from then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Jesus. The Holy Scriptures tells a story that's simple & cold 🥶.  No drama. No hesitation. Just a question… and a price. Judas didn’t wake up that day planning to betray Jesus. This wasn’t a crime of passion, it was calculated. He walked with Jesus, heard His teaching, saw His power, and still decided Jesus was worth less than a slave’s price (thirty pieces of silver). Let's pause right here!   1/26/26 Good morning, Friends,  Acts 11:21-   And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number believed and turned to the Lord. This short verse carries a lot of weight. It reminds us that real spiritual change doesn’t happen because people are clever, persuasive, or impressive. It happens because God shows up . The “hand of the Lord” means God’s active power at work. These believers were faithful to speak, but it was God who moved hearts. Without His hand, nothing lasting happens. Sometimes,  we trust methods more than we trust God. We rely on plans, personalities, programs, or other people's opinions. But Acts 11:21 pulls the curtain back and says, this is God’s work . People didn’t just hear a message, they were changed . They believed , and they turned . Faith and repentance are gifts of grace. God didn’t just inform their minds, He transformed their direction.   1/22/26 Good morning, Beloved,  Proverbs 16:7 -When a man’s ways are pleasing to Yahweh, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. This verse doesn’t mean that if you follow God, everyone will suddenly like you or that conflict will disappear from your life. The Bible is keeps it 💯 , living for God can actually create opposition. But here, this proverb is teaching is something deeper: when a person lives in a way that honors God, through obedience, humility, and righteousness, God has the power to step into tense situations and bring peace where there should have been conflict. In simple terms, when your life lines up with God’s will, He can work on both sides of the situation. God can soften hearts, calm anger, and change outcomes in ways you couldn’t do on your own. Sometimes that peace comes quick, but other times it’s a slow process. Either way, the peace doesn’t come from us fixing things, it comes from God stepping in. 1/5/26 Good morning, Beloved of God,  Acts 9:15-16 LSB - [15] But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; [16] for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name.  God chooses people on purpose, even people with messy pasts. Paul wasn’t picked because he had it all together; God chose him because He had a plan for him. That means your life isn’t random, and your past doesn’t disqualify you. If God can use Paul to speak to everyday people, leaders, and entire nations, He can use you right where you are. Friends, following God won’t always be easy. God told Paul straight up that following Him would involve hardship. This reminds us that obeying God can cost us comfort, approval, and ease, but it’s still worth it. The real question is whether we’re willing to follow God even when it’s hard, not just when it’s convenient. Yes, God definitely has a purpose for your life...

01/02/26 Good morning, Friends,  Romans 12:17 -Never paying back evil for evil to anyone, respecting what is good in the sight of all men, This is the perfect day to let the "payback" spirit go! All of us have experienced times of hurt, pain, betrayal, disappointment, and treachery at the hands of someone else. We survived the plot, scheme, and plan of those who wanted to harm us or even by those who didn't intend to harm us. Nevertheless, we still felt the sting of it ,and consequently the difficult process of healing afterwards. Those feelings are valid, they are real, and yes, the situation occurred. This verse doesn't overlook the truth of matter or render the trauma obsolete.  It deals with the trauma directly. The Apostle Paul is commanding believers to "never" pay back evil with evil to "anyone". Not to hide the hurt but don't react with the same evil intent. Don't use that emotion to plot, scheme, and plan traps to engulf the flames...

  01/01/26 Happy new year and O' happy day! Good morning, Friends,  Luke 17:5 - And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith! In this passage Jesus was teaching His disciples about forgiveness, not the easy kind, but the kind that keeps forgiving even when it’s hard, frustrating, and painful. He was calling them to be patient and long-suffering with people who mess up again and again. The disciples realized real quick that they didn't have enough faith to carry this out on their own. They could've complained, threw a tantrum, got an attitude with Jesus, but the radical part about it is they didn't act fake or make excuses. They went straight to Jesus and said, “Increase our faith.” That’s a powerful moment right there! The disciples understood that following Jesus isn’t just about trying harder.
